snow in the desert

most of the snowflakes are cut from of 6"x6" wrapping paper samples

in elementary school around christmas they used to try and bribe us kids with all sorts of nifty prizes like plastic keyrings or chinese finger traps in order for us to walk up to strangers on our streets and guilt them into buying wrapping paper or other equally disgusting displays of christmas commercialism. our school would then spend our hard earned profits on the most hideous and disfunctional marquee i have ever seen. oh well, at least i was a packrat and stole the wrapping paper samples out of the booklets and recently rediscovered them and decided to hack them up into pretty designs to tape on my ceiling since arizona is so deprived of snow. twas fun

even though i hated it our school is now nondenominational because some parent passed out cookies with santa on them and some other parent freaked out that they didn't have cookies with dreidels on them and threatened to sue the school and so now we can't sell wrapping paper. isn't that kinda depressing?
